Jennifer Bright

Jennifer Bright, the Founder + Chief Financial Storyteller of Bright Ledgers, has over 25 years of accounting and finance experience and has been a full-time entrepreneur since February 2022. She is dedicated to helping service-based business owners build a business that serves the life they desire and deserve.

Through conversations with many business owners, Jennifer noticed a common theme: they were working full-time in their businesses but weren’t paying themselves enough to support their current lifestyles — and many weren’t paying themselves at all. Using that reality as motivation, Jennifer has made it her mission to guide business owners in building a life-first business.

Jennifer is an alumna of Cohort 2 of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business program and Bright Ledgers is a proud recipient of the 2022 Comcast RISE Creative Production Grant.

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Jennifer now resides in Southfield, MI. She is an avid sports fan and a diehard supporter of all Detroit sports teams, especially the Detroit Lions. In her spare time, Jennifer loves to listen (and dance…LOL) to great music and is a novice DJ (DJ JenJenB). She cherishes time spent with family, friends, and her two Chorkie fur babies, Laila and Cruz. Jennifer also enjoys traveling, with favorite destinations including the northeast area of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula and Temecula, California wine country. Another top destination is anywhere her beloved Lions are playing — preferably somewhere warm.
